How do I create a bot?

Remember, you create a bot with @BotFather and install @Chatfuelbot on that new bot.

Here’s how:

  1. Just open @BotFather and enter the command /newbot.
  2. Choose a name for your bot (you can always change it later).
  3. You’ll receive a token that looks something like this: «12345:6789 ABCDEF».
  4. Open @Chatfuelbot, and tap New bot ? or use the /addbot command. Follow the instructions.

How do I change my bot’s profile picture and description?

You’ll need to use @BotFather to change your bot’s name, profile picture, description, and the text displayed in your bot’s profile. Just open @BotFather and use these commands:

/setuserpic — to change your bot’s profile picture.
/setdescription — to change the text you see when you first open the bot (the text above the Start button).
/setabouttext — to change the description inside your bot’s profile.
/setname — to change your bot’s name.

To change the description shown after «Start»:

  1. Just go to your bot and type /chatfuel.
  2. Tap ? Options
  3. Tap ? About text
  4. Follow the instructions.
